Wilma Monell Wade

Wilma Monell Wade, age 96 of Paris, TN, died Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at her residence.

She retired from Salant & Salant in Paris after 32 years.  Monell loved the outside, camping, and fishing.  She was a member of Pleasant Green Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Gibson County, TN.

Monell was born November 18, 1926, in Trezevant, TN, to the late James Burman Long and the late Lula Davenport Long.

She was married December 21, 1944, to Auddie Elroy Wade, who preceded her in death on September 18, 2004.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews on both Long and Wade sides of the family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two birth brothers; one sister; and one adopted brother, James R. Long.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Friday, July 21, 2023, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 3:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Dr. Johnathan Smith officiating.

Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, TN.
