William Verlon "Bill" Osburn

William Verlon "Bill" Osburn, age 71 of Paris, TN, died Wednesday July 25, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN.

He retired from Bertchi Farms as a truck driver.  He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, and watching football, especially the Super Bowl.

William was born February 27, 1947, in Russellville, AR, to the late Verlon Chester Lee Osburn and the late Rhoda Mason Osburn.

He is survived by his wife, Edna Gail Reed; eight children, Meca (David) Duvall of Dover, AR, Lois (Chuck) Bates of Buchanan, TN, Crystal (Ian) Buxton of Southaven, MS, Misty (Adam) Mast of Paris, TN, Billy (Leesa) Osburn of Paris, TN, Matthew (Claudia) Osburn of Pottsville, AR, Randy (Katrina) Osburn of Hector, AR, and Terry (Diana) Osburn; four sisters, Lois McNeese of Atkins, AR, Kathy (Samuel) Litsey of Dover, AR, Ella (Walter) Stacy of Greenbrier, AR, and Rita (Denny) Tucker of Iowa; 27 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, James Bernard Osburn; two sisters, Patricia Taggert and Eunice Rhinehart; three brothers, Walter Osburn, Raymond Osburn, and Dween Osburn; and three grandchildren, Jessica Dixon, Eddy Wood, and Robert Wood.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Thursday, August 2, 2018, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Brian Wimberley officiating.

Pallbearers will be Randy Osburn, Billy Osburn, Chuck Bates, Ian Buxton, Dalton Mast, and Matthew Mast.  Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Mast, Loren Ferguson, and Bubba Ferguson.

Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Paris, TN.
