William Charles Farrow

July 7, 1936 — February 11, 2020

William Charles Farrow, age 83 of Springville, TN, died Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at his residence.

He retired after many years as a plant supervisor from Hunter Packing in East St. Louis, IL.  William also worked at the Board of Public Utilities Water Department in Paris for eight years.  He enjoyed woodworking and the quietness of the Springville community.  He was a U.S. Army veteran and he never met anybody that he did not like.

William was born July 7, 1936, in Belleville, IL, to the late Charles M. Farrow and the late Rowena Boyer Farrow.

He was married to Nancy Luanna Mason Farrow, who survives, of Tampa, FL.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by five children, Mona Kennedy of Fairview Heights, IL, Marcia (Michael) Yingst of Fairview Heights, IL, Michael Farrow of Memphis, TN, Rob Melin of Illinois, and Randy Melin of Tampa, FL; and seven grandchildren, Kristen (Mark) Stamphel of Columbia, MO, Sherilyn (Rob Hampton) Kennedy of Fairview Heights, IL, Robert G. (Nicole) Kennedy of El Paso, TX, Rachel Melin of Arnold, MO, Katie Melin of Arnold, MO, Danielle Melin of Chicago, IL, and Alicia Haase of Land O’ Lakes, FL.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Marilyn Voellinger; and two brothers, James Farrow and Robert Farrow.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242.  The body is to be cremated with no services planned.
