William Bruce Denman, age 82, of Buchanan, Tenn., died Saturday, March 5, 2016, at his residence.
Born July 29, 1933 in Anderson, IN, he was the son of the late Ralph V. Denman and the late Maymie Beatrice Roberts Denman. He was widowed by Marilyn Denman in 2011.
Denman was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War. He worked at General Motors for 14 years and then logged over 3 million miles as a truck driver until his retirement. He enjoyed going dancing and playing his washtub bass with friends.
He is survived by his two sons: William (Carol) Denman, Jr. of Kissimmee, Fla. and Ripley (Pam) Denman of Anderson, Ind.; a sister Marilyn (Lyle) Eaton of Jonesboro, Ind.; a brother-Thomas D. (Carol) Denman of Buchanan, TN., 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, and a special friend, Melba Baird of Rutherford, Tenn.
Besides his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a son: Russell Brian Denman.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn.
He is to be cremated with his remains scattered at Frazier’s Chapel near Sparta, TN.
