William Mckinney

William Todd McKinney, age 38, of Puryear, TN, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 30, 2018 in Puryear, at the home of a loved one surrounded by family.

Todd was a former auto mechanic who grew up working on lawnmowers, tractors, and cars at his grandparents’ farm.  His dogs Charline and Ellie Mae were his beloved pets.

Todd was born in Paris, TN, on November 16, 1979, to Ricky McKinney of Selmer, TN and the late Pamela Kaye Elkins Crews.

Along with his father, he is survived by his fiancée, Stacy Kemppainen of Puryear, TN; one sister, Amy Kamille McKinney of Paris, TN; one aunt, Barbara Elkins Hyde of Paris, TN; one uncle, Dorris W. Elkins of Union City, TN; a very special nephew, Toby McKinney; cousins, Mechelle (Roger) Garland, Jacob Garland and Mitzi Elkins all of New Providence, KY; and a special cousin/sister, Candice (Andy) Cavender of Bruceton, TN.

In addition to his mother, Todd was preceded in death by his grandparents, D.W. and Hilda Elkins; an aunt, Faye Elkins Hastings; and an uncle, David Elkins, Jr.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Saturday, July 7, 2018, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.  The funeral service will be Saturday, July 7, 2018, at 2:00 pm in LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Tom Sisco and Mackie Gallimore officiating. Todd will be laid to rest next to his mother at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Buchanan, TN.

Pallbearers will be Greg Underwood, Wayne Cotton, David Cole, James Catt, Megan Catt, Jesse Kemppainen, Justin Kemppainen and Wayne Kemppainen.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Toby McKinney, James Cathers, Andy Cavender, and Mandy Kemppainen.
