William Macon Marshall, age 76 of Clarksville, TN, died Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at his lake house in New Concord, KY.
He retired after working many years in the maintenance field in the auto industry. He was also the retired owner & operator of “Big City Dogs” hot dog stand. Macon was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. He loved music, dancing, and watching the University of Tennessee and the Tennessee Titans football games. Macon never met a stranger and was the life of the party. He attended First United Methodist Church in Paris when he was staying at the lake.
Macon was born November 19, 1947, in Clarksville, TN, to the late Monroe Macon Marshall and the late Robbie Lois Harris Marshall.
He was married April 6, 2018, to LaDonna Daugherty Marshall, who survives, of Clarksville, TN.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by his daughter, Holly Henry of Murfreesboro, TN; his bonus daughters, Destinee Tidwell and Tammy (Howard) Braunstein; one sister, Joan (John) Thomas of Clarksville, TN; nine grandchildren, Ashtyn (Christopher) Gregory, Mackenzie (Cole) Clear, Nyla, Nyxee, Nash, Angel, Michael, Gabby, and Brandon; and three great grandchildren, McKenna, Cayson, and Reece.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. The body is to be cremated. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, September 15, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Breakers Marina, 526 Shamrock Road, Buchanan, TN 38222.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 25, Paris, TN 38242.
