William Denton

William Robert Denton, age 77, died November 20, 2013.   He was born October 14, 1936 in Linden, TN to Tom and Mary Sanders Denton who preceded in death.

Robert married Joyce Lou Roberts Denton September 28, 1984 and she survives.  He retired in 2011 after 55 years with J. R. Hayes Construction Company as Head Mechanic.   Robert was a Methodist and a US Army Veteran of Vietnam.  He also was a Cattle Farmer and loved coon hunting.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Cynthia A. Denton and Ashley (Jeff) Wilson both of Paris, TN; three sons, Donny (Donna) Denton of Pilot Point, TX, Bobby Ray Denton of Buchanan, TN, and Jackie (Cindy) Denton of Paris, TN; one sister, Betty (Bobby) Triplett of Paris, TN; 11 Grandchildren; and 15 Great Grandchildren.

Robert was also preceded in death by two sons, Ronny Troy Denton and Michael "Mike" Eugene Denton; and a brother, Gene Denton.

Visitation will be Friday November 22, 2013 from 4 - 8 pm and Saturday after 9 am until the service at 11 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Matt Hayes conducting the service.

Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Donny Denton, Bobby Denton, Jackie Denton, Kenny Denton, Jeff Wilson and Bobby Triplett.

Honorary Pallbearers will be all of the J. R. Hayes Construction Company Family.
