William Joel Clark, age 74, of Paris, Tenn., died Saturday, September 6, 2014, at his residence in Paris, Tenn.
He was married June 8, 1963 to Marilyn Ann Martin Clark and she survives.
Joel was a member of Oak Hill Union Church. He retired from Henry County School System as a teacher and basketball coach. He was a member of the Henry County Retired Teachers. Joel was a farmer, an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed his motorcycles.
He was born November 14, 1939 in Paris, TN to the late Robert Tompkins Clark and the late Estelle Madeline Underwood Clark.
Besides his wife he is also survived by Three Daughters, Beth Clark Watkins of Paris, Tenn, Patty Jo Clark (John) Taylor of London, England, Susan Clark (Brad) Debold of Dunwoody, Ga, Two Sisters,
Sandra (Franklin) VanDyke of Paris, Tenn, Jerry (Wallace) Lassiter of Puryear, Tenn; Four Grandchildren, John Thomas Watkins of Paris, TN, Alexandra Taylor of London, England, Blake Debold of Dunwoody, GA and Nathan Debold of Dunwoody, GA.
Besides his Parents, Joel was also preceded in death by Three Brothers, Robert Clark, James Clark, and Allen Clark.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Tuesday, September 9, 2014 and after 9 am Wednesday, September 10, 2014. The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 10:30 am Wednesday, September 10, 2014.
Paul Veazey will officiate. Pallbearers will be Brad Debold, Michael Lassiter, Steven Harrison,
Sandy Lassiter, Jarrett Brewer, and Kevin Bomar. Honorary Pallbearers will be Henry Co. Retired Teachers; His Motorcycle Family; and All former basketball players.
Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Paris, Tenn.
