Warren Salmon, age 81, of Paris, TN, died Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN.
Warren served in the United States Army for 22 years, where he retired in 1974 with a rank of Staff Sergeant E6. He also retired as an orthopedic technician for Dr. Charette and Murray Orthopedics in Murray, KY. He was a member of Buchanan Baptist Church. He enjoyed building drag cars and riding motorcycles.
Warren was born March 14, 1936, in Murray, KY, to the late William Lloyd Salmon and the late Cora Strader Salmon Jackson.
He was married July 13, 1957, to Clarice Maye “Julia” Salmon, who preceded him in death. He later married Imogene “Jean” Harr Salmon, who also preceded him in death.
He is survived by two sons, Loyd (Sissy) Salmon of Puryear, TN, and Shayne (Charita) Salmon of Puryear, TN; one sister, Linda Jackson Taylor of Puryear, TN; five grandchildren, Zach Salmon, Austin Salmon, Amanda Lane, Shawn Salmon, and Michael Salmon; and two great grandchildren, Michael Lane and Teriana Lane.
Along with his parents, his first wife, and second wife, he was also preceded in death by a step-father, Taylor Jackson; and one sister, Katherine Salmon.
Arrangements are be handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Friday April 21, 2017, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and continue Saturday April 22, 2017, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. The funeral service will be Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Chad Kennedy officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Donald Dunning, Paul Stawski, Curt Oliver, Ronnie Burton, Ricky Burton and Zach Salmon.
Burial will be in Buchanan Baptist Church Cemetery.
