Wanda Sue Charles

Wanda Sue Charles, age 79 of Buchanan, TN, died Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at her residence.

She was a homemaker who formerly attended Sulphur Well Church of Christ.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, reading, and watching the TV show “Heartland.”

Wanda was born July 1, 1943, in Tullahoma, TN, to the late Walter B. Taylor and the late Myrtle Rose Beech Taylor.

She was married to Leslie Edward Charles, who preceded her in death on March 5, 2006.

She is survived by one son, Edward Charles of Buchanan, TN; one sister, Peggy Louise Cadle of Beckly, WV; three grandchildren, Jessica Brown, Rebecca (Jesse) Melton, and Tiffany (Jason) Smith; and 13 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Theresa Cleaver; one son, Larry Brown; one sister, Shirley Ann Condor; and two brothers, Howard Donald Taylor and Walter Bobby Taylor.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Chad Kennedy officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Smith, Randy Mobley, Jr., Kurt Oliver, Rudy Schrader, and Jesse Melton.

Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Springville, TN.
