Wanda Mae Ward, 79, of Paris, died Monday, April 21, 1936, in her home.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Point Pleasant Baptist Church. Ridgeway Funeral Home will handle arrangements. Larry Dukes will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Michael and Jacob Ward, Norman Hegyi, Chad Edwards, Nathan Johns, and Marty Visser. Honorary pallbearers will be the ladies of her Point Pleasant Sunday School class.
Visitation will be from 11-1 p.m. Saturday prior to services.
Ward was born April 21, 1936, in Bellevue, Ohio, to the late Samuel LeRoy and Sarah Elizabeth Geren Adams.
She was a member of Point Pleasant Church and retired after 15 years as a blueprint reader at the Federal Signal in Chicago. She loved Nascar, gardening, and baby-sitting.
She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (Norman) Hegyi of Paris; a son, Mike (Christina) Ward of Ashland, Ky.;
Nine grandchildren: Cindy (Nathan) Johns of Willamsport, Laura Redick and Julie Ward both of Chicago, Charlie Szlida of Flower, Ind., Michael (Michelle) Ward of Atlanta, Theresa Ward of Wadsworth, Ohio, Brooke Harvey of Louisville, Ky., Jacob Ward of Seville, Ohio, and Taylor Harvey of Ashland;
Nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Norma Shinabery Gillingham of Astoria, Ore.; and four brothers: Emery Adams of Bellevue, Johnny Adams of San Francisco, David (Carol) Adams of Blouder, Mont., Bob (Boots) Shinabery of Hampton, Va.
She was preceded in death by eight sisters: Georgia Adams Holloway, Opa Shinabery Konczal, Lillian and Pearl Shinaber, Geraldine Adams Foy, Beatric Adams Bortner, Dale Adams Blair, Vivian Faye Adams Fisher;
And 11 brothers: George Corkey, Donald, France, Marian and Sammie Adams; and Burnie, Donnie, Leon, Adany, Paul and Bud Shinabery.
