Wanda Robinson
August 30, 1940 — October 2, 2017
Wanda Joyce Robinson, age 77 of Paris, TN, died Monday, October 2, 2017, at Paris Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Paris, TN.
She worked at Holley Carburetor Plant for 17 years, then provided child care in her home for many children for several years. She loved sewing and cooking, especially baking birthday cakes, and cooking for Holley Credit Union’s monthly meetings. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Paris, TN.
Wanda was born August 30, 1940, in Eubanks, KY, to the late Charlie Sanders and the late Annie O. Calhoun Sanders.
She was married August 29, 1982, to Ralph Robinson, who preceded her in death in 1987.
She is survived by three daughters, Barbara (Mason) Conger of Paris, TN, Donna Witherspoon and special friend James Clark of Paris, TN, and Angela Owens of Paris, TN; two brothers, Jack (Mary) Sanders of McKenzie, TN, and Larry (Barbara) Sanders of Sedalia, KY; five grandchildren, Jamie (Lisa) Conger, David (Linda) Conger, Ashley (Larry) Horath, Chase (Cristy) Witherspoon, and Abbey Buie; 10 great grandchildren, Callon Conger, Colson Conger, Lucas Conger, Dylan Conger, Chris Conger, Isabella Conger, Gavin Witherspoon, Liam Witherspoon, Lilly Horath, and Kierra Buie; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Max Sanders, Jerry Sanders, and Alvis Sanders.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Wednesday, October 4, 2017, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and continue Thursday, October 5, 2017, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. The funeral service will be Thursday, October 5, 2017, at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Micheal Barnhart officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jamie Conger, David Conger, Chase Witherspoon, Chris Conger, Larry Sanders, and Colson Conger.
Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Paris, TN.
