His wife, Vickie Neil Newton, survives. They were married on Jan. 7, 1990.
His body was cremated.
A family memorial service is planned for a later date.
Newton was born April 9, 1958, in Fredricksburg, Va.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and enjoyed fishing.
Besides his wife, he leaves one son: Joshua Sadler of Dallas; one sister: Kathy Peterson of Virginia; three brothers: Billy, Scott and Morris Newton, all of Virginia; and two grandchildren: Mendi Nichole Sadler and Jackson Odie Sadler.
