Virginia Argo

Virginia Ella Argo, age 93 of Springville, TN, died Thursday, March 12, 2020, at AHC of Paris, TN.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting and crocheting.  Virginia was a charter member of Russwood Baptist Church in Springville, TN, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and kitchen volunteer.

Virginia was born February 10, 1927, in Union City, TN, to the late Harrison Darnell and the late Lela Winstead Darnell.

She was married to Harwood W. Argo, who preceded her in death on June 25, 1983.

She is survived by her two sons, Richard Argo, Sr., of Paris, TN, and Gary Lee (Carolyn) Stover of Ann Arbor, MI; four grandchildren, Richie Argo, Jr., of Buchanan, TN, Angie Cummings of Louisville, KY, Denise Mills of Louisville, KY, and Justin Stover of Ann Arbor, MI; seven great grandchildren, Ashley Argo, Breanna Cummings, Timothy Kiburtz, Austin Kiburtz, Kaitlyn Mills, Todd Mills, Jr., and Owen Stover; and several great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, Donald Ray Argo; one great grandson, Tyler Cummings; and several sisters and brothers.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN 38242. The body is to be cremated with no services planned.

Burial of cremains will take place in Trezevant Cemetery in Trezevant, TN.
