Violet June Warren

Violet June Warren, age 84 of Paris, TN, died Thursday, February 18, 2021, at Hardin County Medical and Rehab, Savannah, Tennessee.

She was retired from Dana Corporation.  Violet was a member of Temple Baptist Church.  She loved working in her yard and with her flowers.  Her children described her best in saying, “She was our rock.  Her physical stature was deceiving as she carried us all through the most difficult times with faith, strength and will.  She made us strong.  All of us children were her life, and her grandchildren made her eyes brighten and brought a smile every time she was around them.”

Violet was born on November 20, 1936, to the late Noah and Catherine McBee of Lynnville, Kentucky.

She is survived by four children, Roger (Vickie) Wilkerson of Mayfield, KY, Cindy (Tod) Gustafson of Southaven, MS, Jack Wilkerson of Whites Creek, TN, and Kathy Colleen (Mike) Lineberry of Foley, AL; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and five siblings, Lillian Frances (Billy) Wells of Paris, Peggy (James) Travis of Paris, Ira Dell McBee of Murfreesboro, TN, Nyoka (Reggie) Coles of Paris, and Andy (Carol) McBee of Paris.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Glen Crawford Wilkerson; and her second husband, John Warren.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Sunday, February 21, 2021, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home.  Visitation will continue Monday, February 22, 2021, from 10:00 am-11:00 am at Temple Baptist Church, 619 N. Wilson Street, Paris, TN 38242, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am at Temple Baptist Church, with Mike Lineberry & Gerald Scott officiating.

The family asks that all in attendance wear a mask and practice social distancing during both visitation and the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Lineberry, Alex Lineberry, Kelly Wilkerson, Justin Wilkerson, Natalie Morris, Kevin Morris, and Kenny Wells.  Named as honorary pallbearers are her eight great grandchildren.

Burial will be in Lynnville Cemetery in Lynnville, KY.
