Veronica Taylor

Veronica Louise Taylor age 82 of Paris, formerly of Sedalia, MO, died Friday, April 4, 2025, at her daughter’s residence in Paris, TN.

Veronica enjoyed being outdoors and gardening. She was a member of Katy Park Baptist Church in Sedalia, MO, and attended TVCC after moving to Paris to be closer to her daughter.

She was born July 10, 1942, in Jackson County, MO, to the late George and Pearl Marie Lewis Barrett.

Veronica married Fred Taylor in 1989, and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include her seven children, Stacy (Dan) Maatman of Paris, TN, Tonya Vickery Tedeton of Calhoun, LA, Misty Smith of Sedalia, MO, David (Donna) Hilton of Sedalia, MO, James (Denise) Hilton of Leeton, MO, and John (Michelle) Hilton of Iona, MO; 23 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren; and her two dogs, Peanut and Buddy.

Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by  a daughter, Pam Smith; two sisters, Hazel Jackson, and Pat Clements; a brother, George Barrett; and two grandchildren, Billie Smith and Anthony Smith.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St./ P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the services. A Celebration of her life will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the Katy Park Baptist Church 901 W. 24th. Sedalia, MO 65301.
