Tony Allen

Anthony Bruce “Tony” Allen age 64 of Mansfield died Sunday, May 21, 2023, at the Tri-Star Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN

Tony spent four years in the U.S. Navy before retiring from the U. S. Coast Guard after 22 years of service.  He was currently working in the maintenance department at Camden General Hospital.  Tony enjoyed spending time outdoors, turkey and deer hunting, and attending rock concerts.  He also enjoyed riding his Harley and traveling with his wife.

Born March 2, 1959, in Detroit, MI, he was the son of the late Clarence Allen and the late Geraldine Davis Allen.

Tony married Lillian Swearingen Allen on July 8, 2002, and she survives of Mansfield.

In addition to his wife, additional survivors include his two children, Dr. Amber (Rhett Chrysler) Watson of Johnson City, TN, and Daniel (Sara) Allen of Mobile, AL; a sister, Rosey Kanouse of Clinton Township, MI; a sister-in-law, Rhonda (Russell) Downen of Jackson, TN; two nieces Pam Morrison and Alaina Downen; a nephew Christopher Downen; and a granddaughter, Charleigh Allen.

Along with his parents, Tony was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Allen.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  Visitation will be Thursday, May 25, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home.  A funeral service with Coast Guard Honors will be held Friday, May 26, 2023, at 11:00 am at the U.S Coast Guard Base located at 700 Coast Guard Road, Buchanan, TN 38222.  A family friend, Laura Sherrod, will be officiating the service.
