Tommy Shankle, age 76 of Paris, TN, died Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at his residence, after a long illness.
He was the former longtime owner & operator of Shankle Sheet Metal in Paris. Tommy was a U.S. Army veteran and a Christian in faith. He was a master furniture maker, making many pieces for his home, his family, and his friends.
Tommy was born January 5, 1943, in Paris, TN, to the late Richard H. Shankle and the late Edith Sparks Shankle Holland.
He was married March 5, 1988, to Lynda Walters Shankle, who survives, of Paris, TN.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by two sons, Scott Thomas (Kim)Shankle of Cordova, TN, and Stephen Lee (Tanya) Shankle of Cottage Grove, TN; one stepdaughter, Danita (Tony) Fisher of Mt. Juliet, TN; one brother, Jerry (Brenda) Shankle of Paris, TN; one sister-in-law, Belew Shankle of Cottage Grove, TN; and two grandchildren, Ashley Fisher and Jamie Fisher.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Shankle and Teddy Shankle.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. A private family graveside service will be held Friday, July 26, 2019, at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, TN.
Burial will follow the graveside service in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
