Tommy Edward Clayton, age 69, died Saturday June 4, 2016, at his residence in Paris. He was a retired maintenance worker from Emerson Electric.
Born March 15, 1947, in Paris,he was the son of the late Eulus Clayton and the late Evalee Hudson Clayton. He married Martha Wilson Clayton July 13, 1966, who preceded in death December 9, 2012.
Mr. Clayton was baptist in faith. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his five children: Melissa Faye (Michael) Key of Puryear, Fonda Kaye (James Tracy Sr.) Taylor of Clarksville, TN, Dustin Clayton and special friend Mona Swayne of Paris, Jeremiah Clayton and special friend Karen Collins of Paris and Bradley Clayton of Paris. He leaves a sister: Donna (Tommy) Judd of Paris and a brother Gerald Clayton of Paris. Additional survivors include his grandchildren: Andrew (Samantha) Key, Alex Key, Aaron Key, James Tracy Taylor, Jr., Kelsey Taylor, Clayton Taylor, Chase Clayton, Casey Clayton, Kathryn Clayton and Joshua Clayton. Great Grandchildren include: Faith Taylor, Jaxson Taylor, Gracie Taylor and Serenity Key.
Besides his wife and parents, a grandchild Marcus Edward Bruns preceded in death.
His funeral service will be held Wednesday June 8, 2016 at 2 PM in LeDon Chapel of RIdgeway Funeral Home, with his son in law Michael Key officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 AM on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Birds Creek Cemetery.
Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers.
