Tommie Dicus

March 17, 1948 — June 24, 2016

Tommie L. Dicus, age 68, of Paris, Tenn., died Friday, June 24, 2016, at Jackson Madison Co. Gen. Hosp. in Jackson, Tenn.

Tommie was a 1967 Cottage Grove High School Graduate.   He formerly worked at Holley Carburetor Plant and also served as a Pastor for several years.   He was a retired Funeral Director after working for 35 years at Ridgeway Funeral Home.   Tommie was an active member of West Wood Pentecostal Church of God where he was Worship Leader for many years.   He enjoyed playing his guitar and gospel music of all types.   He Loved God, his family, and spending time with his Grandchildren.  Tommie was a jack of all trades who could fix anything.

He was born March 17, 1948 in Fulton, KY to late Calvin Louis Dicus and the late Maudie Elva Weaver Dicus.

Tommie was married September 28, 2002 to Tamera Gates Dicus of Paris and she survives.  He is also survived by his two Daughters,  Cheryl (Tim) Forrest of Puryear, Tenn,  and Kristin Walters of Paris, Tenn;  Three Sons,  Stephen (Kelly) Dicus of Henry, Tenn,  Tyler Walters of Paris, Tenn, and Austin Walters of Paris, Tenn;  Four Brothers, Harold E. (Jane) Dicus of Paris, Tenn, Garry W. (Lynn) Dicus of Paris, Tenn, Lonnie E. (Connie) Dicus of Paris, Tenn,  and Glynn Larry Dicus of Paris, Tenn;  seven Grandchildren,  Will (Tonya) Forrest, Aaron T. Forrest, Rachael Dicus, Sarah Dicus, Stephen Dicus Jr., Caitlyn Dicus,  and Addison Walters;  two Great Grandchildren, Whitley Forrest, and Addilynn Forrest.

Besides his Parents, Tommie was also preceded in death by a Sister, Elva Riggle.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 4 – 8 pm Saturday, June 25, 2016.  Visitation will continue at West Wood Pentecostal Church of God from 10 – 11 am Sunday, June 26, 2016.    The Funeral Service will be at West Wood Pentecostal Church of God at 11:00 am Sunday, June 26, 2016.

Joe Page will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Stephen Dicus Jr., Will Forrest, Aaron Forrest, Tyler Walters, Austin Walters, and David Dicus.   The Ridgeway Funeral Home staff is named as Honorary Pallbearers.

Interment will be at West Wood Cemetery in Paris, Tenn.
