Thelma Morgan

Thelma Jane Morgan age 98, of Paris, TN, died Saturday, February 10, 2018, at the Paris Healthcare Center.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading the Bible and other books and as well as watching birds and other elements of nature from her window. Thelma raised her family in Warren, MI, and retired to the Paris area in 1998. She attended the Antioch United Methodist Church in Springville, TN.

Born June 1, 1919, in German Township, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Kenna B. Wilson and the late Electa P. Johnson Wilson.

Thelma married Jesse I. Morgan December 8, 1937, who preceded her in death in September of 1988.

Survivors include her son: Larry B. (Martha) Morgan of Springville, TN, a sister: Verna Kratzer of Newberg, OR, two grandchildren, a special nephew: Richard Wilson of Alta Loma, CA and many faithful friends from church.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Eileen Morgan and three brothers: Erbin, Hobart and Kenna Wilson.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. The visitation will be Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 11am – 2pm with the funeral service to follow in LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Linda Hilliard officiating.

Her body will be cremated following the service with her ashes to be buried in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Detroit, MI.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials to be made to the Antioch United Methodist Church Sunday School Class c/o Evelyn Boling 1212 Antioch Harbor Road, Springville, TN 38256 or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
