Ted Todd

Ted Lynn Todd, age 75 of Paris, TN, died Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at Henry County Healthcare Center in Paris, TN.

He retired after many years as an industrial supervisor.  He worked for both Celotex and Mark I Plastics for several years.  Ted was a member and deacon at Birds Creek Baptist Church in Paris. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and loved his family and church.

Ted was born November 1, 1943, in Martin, TN, to the late Finis J. “Dick” Todd and the late Katherine Peery Todd.

He was married December 31, 1966, to Carolyn Smith Todd, who survives, of Paris, TN.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by one daughter, Beth (Chris) Rhodes of Knoxville, TN; one son, John (Becky) Todd of Collierville, TN; two brothers, William Dan (Joan) Todd of Purcell, OK, and Fred Ray Todd of McKenzie, TN; one sister-in-law, Patricia (Craig) Schaeffer of Cordova, TN; four grandchildren, Nicholas Rhodes, Natalie Rhodes, Serena Todd, and Cecelia Todd; and niece, Rita Tilghman, who provided care the last few months.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Robbie Todd Harmon.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  Visitation will be Thursday, July 18, 2019, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home.  Visitation will continue Friday, July 19, 2019, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Birds Creek Baptist Church, 2245 Whitlock Road, Paris, TN 38242.  The funeral service will be Friday, July 19, 2019, at 2:00 pm at Birds Creek Baptist Church, with Kevin Gallimore and Billy Ross officiating.

Pallbearers will be Nicholas Rhodes, Ricky Wofford, Junior Milam, Kip Tilghman, Wes Tilghman, and Allen Landrum.  Named as honorary pallbearers are Ray Anderson, Jessie Wilbanks, and Jerry Rawls

Burial will be in Birds Creek Cemetery in Paris, TN.
