Ted Parrish

Ted Parrish, age 85 of Cottage Grove, TN, died Monday, March 27, 2023 at his residence surrounded by family.

He was a lifelong farmer and had worked at the Co-Op for 20 years.  Ted was a US Army veteran, and a member of Cottage Grove Methodist Church.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, piddling, and spending time with his family.

Ted was born January 27, 1938 in Cottage Grove, TN to the late Yancy Boyd Parrish and the late Hilda Gray Pentecost Parrish.

He is survived by his gal pal of 10 years, Cheri Veazey of Cottage Grove, TN; one daughter, Sherry (Andrew) Norman of Paris, TN; one son, Scott Parrish (Melissa Draper) of Cottage Grove; one daughter-in-law, Mitzi Parrish of Cottage Grove, TN; one sister-in-law, Marsha Parrish of Cape Girardeau, MO; nine grandchildren, Lindsey, Austin, Alaina, Jonathan, Crystal, Marcus, Hope, Lauren, and Kyle; 13 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Ted was also preceded in death by one son, Steve Parrish; three sisters, Sue Elliott, Pat Miller, and Mary Carroll; and one brother, Buddy Parrish.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  Visitation will be Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Ridgeway Funeral Home from 11 am – 2 pm.  The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 29, 2023  at Ridgeway Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with Tommy Taylor and Debra McGuire officiating. 

Grandsons, and T J Nash, and Jerry Wagner will serve as Pallbearers.  Dr. Vince Tusa is named as an Honorary Pallbearer. 

Burial will follow in Walker Cemetery.
