Susie D. Olive, age 98, of Paris, Tenn, died Friday, October 7, 2016, at Paris Healthcare and Rehab Center in Paris, Tenn.
Susie was the oldest living member of the East Wood Church of Christ. She retired from the Holley Carburetor Plant.
She was born May 7, 1918 in Cottage Grove, TN, the daughter of the late Travis "Doc" Pearl Maddox and the late Patria Pearl Pennington Maddox.
Susie married Clovis H. Olive December 18, 1936 and he preceded in death on January 18, 1998. She is survived by her one son, Jerry (Martha) Olive of Paris, Tenn; one sister, Bonnie (James) Dobson of Sedalia, Ky; four grandchildren, Cindy Cullen, Pat Olive, Rodney Weaver, and Amy Jopson; and 3 Great Grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, Susie was also preceded in death by sisters, Jean Osbon, and Robbie Fletcher.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tenn, where the visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Saturday, October 8, 2016 and from 12:30 – 2 pm on Sunday, October 9, 2016. The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 9, 2016 with Adam Currence of East Wood Church of Christ officiating.
Pallbearers will be Reggie Osbon, Mike Osbon, Randy Cullen, Rodney Weaver, Asa Jopson, and Brian Foster.
Interment will follow in Walker Cemetery in Paris, Tenn.
