Shirley T. Holland Bucy, age 81, of Madison Heights, Mich., died Monday, February 15, 2016, at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights, Mich.

She graduated from Puryear High School and was a very talented artist.   She worked over 30 years with Bell Telephone as an operator and lastly worked in the Benefits Dept and she received several perfect attendance awards .   She was a born again Christian and member of Bethel Baptist Church in Sterling Heights, MI where she was very active.  She formerly taught Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, and painted a Mural in the Church.  She also worked with her husband on the Transition and building of a new Church Location.

Shirley was born September 23, 1934 in Paris, TN to the late Orion B. Holland and the late Celesta May Norton Holland.

Shirley married Billy Gerald Bucy August 15, 1954 and he survives.  She is also survived by her Daughter, Celesta Bucy Alford of Sterling Heights, Mich;  son,  Mark (Renee) Bucy of Clinton Township, Mich;  Sister-in-law,  Lorene Wells of Paris, TN;  two Brothers-In-Law,  Pete (Carolyn) Bucy of Paris, TN, and Chuck (Alice) Bucy of Paris, TN;  four Grandchildren,  Joel Bucy of Clinton Township, MI,  Joshua Bucy of Clinton Township, MI,  Ryan Champion of Madison Heights, MI, and Chris Champion of Warren, MI;  and a Great Grandchild,  Cami Champion.

Beside her parents, she was also preceded in death by Sisters,  Kathleen Caldwell, and Sharon Gail Hall; and Brother,  James L. Holland.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN where the visitation will be from 9 – 11 am Friday, February 19, 2016.     The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of  Ridgeway Funeral Home at 11:00 am Friday, February 19, 2016 with Corey Cain officiating.

Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, Tenn.
