Shirley Brown

Shirley Lavon Brown, age 75 of Springville, TN passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN.

She retired from Deloitte as an administrative assistant after 25 years. Shirley enjoyed camping, fishing, skiing and square dancing. She loved attending music and dance competitions with her daughter and grandchildren, and she loved going to her grandson’s soccer games.

Shirley was born August 24, 1949, in Springfield, TN to the late Grady Gower and the late Louise Barnes Gower. 

She was married on November 4, 1978, to Setton E. Brown and he survives of Springville, TN. She is also survived by one daughter, Heather (Randle) Currie of Springville, TN; and three grandchildren, Dexter Currie, Paisley Currie, and Juliet Currie. 

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Wallace Gower and Son Gower.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. The body is to be cremated, and no services are planned.
