Former Henry Countian Michael Shannon Johnson, age 45 of Waverly, TN, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017.
He was the Chief Operations Officer at Hope Center Ministries in Waverly, TN. He was a family man and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was also a member of Compassion Church in Waverly.
Shannon was born May 7, 1972, in Paris, TN, to the late James Michael Johnson and Brenda (Buz) Williams, who survives, of Buchanan, TN.
He was married December 5, 2008, to Tabitha Ballentine Johnson, who survives, of Waverly, TN.
Along with his wife and mother, he is also survived by two daughters, Layla Jewel Johnson and Alyssa Hope Johnson both of Waverly, TN; one sister, Angela Williams of Nashville, TN; one brother, Justin (Melissa) Johnson of Gibson, TN; one grandmother, Mary Katherine McKay of Oklahoma; one niece, Sophia Johnson; and one nephew, Kaden Thomas.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his grandparents, James & Virginia Johnson.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. Visitation will be Sunday, October 22, 2017, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Tennessee Valley Community Church in Paris, TN. The funeral service will be Sunday, October 22, 2017, at 4:00 pm at Tennessee Valley Community Church with Josh Hannah officiating.
