Sarah Carolyn Cochran Crabtree

Sarah Carolyn Cochran Crabtree, age 96 of Springville, TN, died Thursday, May 18, 2023, at AHC of Paris.  

She formerly worked at Merrick Clothing and Walmart.  Sarah loved St, Louis Cardinal baseball and enjoyed gardening, yardwork, cooking, and sewing.  She was a member of Bethesda Church of Christ in Rives, TN.

Sarah was born November 24, 1926, in Rives, TN, to the late Albert Tilton Cochran and the late Hazel Elizabeth Tubbs Cochran.

She was married to David Howard Crabtree, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by three children, Ray (Kim) Crabtree of Springville, TN, Dan (Jeri) Crabtree of Cookeville, TN, and Kay (Jerry) Bradley of Pilot Oak, KY; two sisters, Linda (Clay) Church of Henderson, TN, and Sue Stone of Dexter, MO; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Anita Marie Sullivan; one son, James David Crabtree; one sister, Donnie Matheny; three brothers, Bill Cochran, Max Cochran, and Bobby Cochran; and one grandchild, Wendy Turner.  

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 11:00 am at Poplar Grove Cemetery in Springville, TN, with Bart Croasmun officiating.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will follow the graveside service in Poplar Grove Cemetery.
