Rudy M. Johnson

Rudy M. Johnson age 70 of Murray, KY, died Friday, October 18, 2019, at Jackson Purchase Hospital in Mayfield, KY.

He was a retired row crop farmer after working 38 years at Furches Farm in Murray. Rudy served 12 years in the US Army as a Military Policeman. He also was a green beret where he served in the special forces during the Vietnam War. He was Christian in belief.

Born October 21, 1948, in Senathe, MO, he was the son of the late Milford B. Johnson and the late Anna Mae Johnson.

He was married on December 22, 1972, to Nancy Carol Wade Johnson, who survives of Murray.

Along with his wife, he is survived by two children, Tamera Carol Johnson Russell of Aurora, KY and Marty (Kym) Johnson of Paducah, KY; four sisters, Becky Gooch of Paris, Beth Johnson of Jackson, TN, Jodi Bryant of Clarksville, TN, and Michelle Johnson of Paris; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald B. Johnson and Ricky Paul Johnson.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Wednesday, October 23, 2019, from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at 2:00 pm at Memorial Cemetery with Steve Gallimore officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Heath Berry, Chad Bryant, Jonathan Burgess, Robert Stevens, Nathan Watkins, Tony Wade, and Mike Swindle.
