Ruby Reynolds Morrison age 80 of Paris, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021, in Milan, Tennessee, surrounded by loving family.
Ruby found happiness in her daily activities throughout her life. She loved to work in her yard and grow beautiful flowers. For many years, a long walk, was an important part of her day. She loved spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, baking, and watching the Hallmark Channel. Over the years she also had many pets that she loved dearly, especially her beloved Rocky. Her greatest joy though was being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. This was always evident by her desire to spend time with them talking and playing games. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Born May 24, 1941, in Mansfield, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late James Lewis Reynolds and the late Irah Lee Brown Reynolds. She was a member of Mansfield Baptist Church.
She was married to James E. “Jim” Morrison September 1, 1960, who preceded her in death August 24, 2020.
She is survived by two daughters, Teresa (Craig) Gale of Athens, AL and Wendy Wilson of Milan, TN; one son, Scott (Temple) Morrison of Paris, TN; six grandchildren, Brian (Leigh Beth) Wilson, Crystal (Lee) Alexander, Sarah Gale (Nick Baker), Andrew Gale, Olivia Ashley and Brileigh Morrison; and five great grandchildren, Isabelle Wilson, Zane Wilson, Aiden Alexander, Caleb Alexander, and Lilly Alexander.
She is also survived by her sisters, Ruth (Paul) Key of Paris and Dorothy Gallimore of Dresden, along with many nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Helen Glisson, two brothers A. D. Reynolds and Lloyd Reynolds.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 11:00 am at Memorial Cemetery in Paris. David Gallimore will be officiating.
Burial of cremains will follow the service in Memorial Cemetery.
Memorials may be made, in memory of Ruby to the American Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of West Tennessee.
