Ruby Jane Evans, age 60 of Paris, TN, died Tuesday, October 17, 2017, in Paris, TN.
She formerly worked at Chateau Maurice for 11 and half years where she served in maintenance. Afterward she worked for Morningside of Paris as a nurse's aide, then went on to sit with the elderly for several years. She was also employed at Jr’s Silver Dollar in Paris. She formerly attended Central Point Baptist Church.
Ruby was born June 30, 1957, in Paris, TN, to the late Edgar W. Robbins and the late Eula Hall Grooms Robbins.
She is survived by one daughter, Jessie Evans of Paris, TN; six sisters: Georgia Ramsay of Paris, TN, Rowena (Shorty) Roney Paris, TN, Jean Hollingsworth of Paris, TN, Priscilla Chapman of Paris, TN, and Carolyn (David) Yarbrough of Sun City, Ariz.; six brothers, Billy (Peggy) Grooms of Paris, TN, Monroe (Margie) Robbins of Paris, TN, Eddie (Tina) Robbins of Paris, TN, Telly Robbins of California, Louis (Ann) Robbins of Nashville, TN, and Tommy Grooms of Milwaukee, WI; and a special friend, David Patterson of Paris, TN.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Cindy Robbins and Barbara Johnson; and three brothers, Wales Robbins, Robert Grooms and Jimmy Grooms.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.
The body is to be cremated. Memorial Visitation will be Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 9 – 11 am with a memorial service at 11:00 am Saturday, October 28, 2017 at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Chad Kennedy officiating.
