Roy Kinsey, Sr.

Roy Kinsey Sr., age 73 of Buchanan, TN, died Sunday, December 30, 2018, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN.

Roy retired as a self-employed storm damage recovery specialist. He spent 17 years fencing horse farms in the Ocala, Florida area. Roy was a member of TVCC. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, wood working, his blueberries, and hard work. Roy recently started the mow-tacular mowing team at the Covenant Ranch in Buchanan, TN. Roy loved his God, his family and his country.

Roy was born October 10, 1945, in Ocala, Florida to Lawrence E. Kinsey who survives, of Silver Springs, Fl., and to the late Maybelle Counts Kinsey.

He was married August 18, 1969, to Sandra Ann Duke Kinsey who survives, of Buchanan, TN.

Along with his father and his wife, he is also survived by his two daughters, Augie (George) Whiteman of Springville, TN, and Rhonda (Robert) Carroll of Vancleave, MS; one son, Doug (Jenny) Kinsey, II of Paris, TN; one sister, Linda (Bobby) Kendrick of Silver Springs, FL; eight grandchildren, Katie, Ashley, Corey, Kyle, Lucy, Blaine, Georgia, and Davis; and four great grandchildren, Bella, Parker, Emma, and Stella.

In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by one grandchild Ethan.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN. His body is to be cremated. There will be a memorial visitation Saturday, January 5, 2019, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Tennessee Valley Community Church. The memorial service will be Saturday, January 5, 2019, at 11:00 am at Tennessee Valley Community Church, with Carlton Gerrell officiating.
