Roy Edward Horn, age 89, of Paris, Tenn., died Friday, August 29, 2014, at Benchmark Healthcare of Puryear in Puryear, Tenn.
He was married in November of 1948 to Doris E. Fields Horn, and she preceded in death December 19, 2005. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and was a US Navy Veteran of WW II. Roy was also a self-taught guitar and fiddle player and he was an avid golfer.
He was born October 2, 1924 in McKenzie, TN to the late William Horn and the late Mary Jane Reynolds Horn.
Roy is survived by his Two Daughters, Kathy (Bo) Caldwell of Paris, Tenn, Diane (Jim) Beedie of Downers Grove, Tenn; Five Grandchildren, Jim (Sam) Beedie of Los Angeles, CA, Shelley Thompson of Napierville, IL, Jason (Heather) Beedie of Napierville, IL, Christy Caldwell of Paris, TN, and Scott (Erin) Caldwell of Memphis, TN; Six Great Grandchildren, Aidan and Lily Thompson, Presley and Beckham Beedie, and Miller and Eliza Caldwell.
Besides his wife and parents, Roy was also preceded in death by Sisters, Ruth Cozart, Pearl Reynolds, and Covie Lindsey; Brothers, Lucian, Marvin, Bernard, and Robert Horn.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn. There will be a Graveside Service at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 2:00 PM Friday, September 5, 2014. No visitation is planned.
Cory Glover of the First Christian Church will officiate.
Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, Tenn.
