Ronnie Leroy "Ron" Dix

Ronnie Leroy “Ron” Dix, age 80 of Paris, TN, died Saturday, September 21, 2024, at his residence.

He retired after a long career in engineering management, last working for Greenfield Production. Ron loved all sports, especially baseball where he played in the minor leagues in his younger years. He enjoyed fishing, archery, and was a member of West Wood Pentecostal Church of God in Paris.

Ron was born October 31, 1941, in Paulding, OH, to the late Edgar Dix and the late Marge Teeple Dix.

He was married June 1, 1996, to Eva Mae Owen Dix, who survives, of Paris, TN. 

Along with his wife, he is also survived by his three children, Kim (Ray) Crabtree of Paris, TN, Mandy (Bobby) White of MD, Tony (Mark) Dix of OK; three stepchildren, Retha Burns & her family, Tim (Cheryl) Forrest & his family, Randy Carter & his family, and Ronnie Carter & his family; one sister, Linda (Bill) Barker of SC; one brother, James Dix of Paulding, OH; eight grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two stepchildren, Eddie Forrest and Dean Carter; and one brother, Roger Dix. 

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. The body is to be cremated with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
