Robert O’Neal Patrick, age 83 of Tifton, GA, died Monday, June 21, 2021, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, GA.
He was a member of Ridge Avenue Church of Christ and owner of Patrick Tractor Company. He had lived in Tifton since 1986. Bob was a man of faith and very active in his church where he served as an Elder and did anything he could to support the church and congregation. He served in the Tennessee National Guard and loved his country. He was a lifetime member of the Future Farmers of America. Bob was a supporter of Agribusiness and he and his late wife Betty traveled often internationally in business related agricultural matters. He loved his family, especially his grandsons. He loved all children, was a people person, and was a man respected in his community. Bob was a 1955 graduate of Chester County High School and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1959. He was on the Board of Directors for Georgia Christian School in Valdosta.
Bob was born September 6, 1937, in Hardeman County, TN, to the late John Robert Patrick and the late Louise O’Neal Patrick.
He was married for 44 years to Betty Johnson Patrick, who preceded him in death on May 13, 2019.
He is survived by his daughter, Angela (Darron) Britt of Athens, GA; his son, Randal Patrick of Nashville, TN; two grandsons, Patrick Britt and Garrison Britt; and his sister, Andrea (John) McCadams of Jackson, TN.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Janice Clifford.
Out-of-town arrangements are being handled by Albritton Funeral Directors in Tifton, GA. Visitation will be Thursday, June 24, 2021, from 10:30 am – 10:45 pm at Ridge Avenue Church of Christ, 1625 N. Ridge Avenue, Tifton, GA 31794, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am.
Local arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 11:00 am at Van Dyke Grove Cemetery in Paris, TN.
Serving as pallbearers will be Roy Willis, Klint Guess, David Tanner, Patrick Britt, Garrison Britt and John Paulk. Named as honorary pallbearers are Bill Wiseman and Kevin Guess.
Burial will follow the graveside service in Van Dyke Grove Cemetery in Paris, TN.
