Robert C. Allen

Robert C. Allen, age 92 of Paris, TN, died Saturday, October 7, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Allen was a christian in faith, and a member of the VFW.  He was a US Navy WWII Veteran, who enjoyed gardening and working outside.

Mr. Allen was born November 30, 1924 in Big Sandy, TN to the late Vergil Vaughn and the late Ruby Barnes Vaughn.

Mr. Allen married in March 3, 1942, to Sara Markham Allen, who survives.

He is survived by one daughter, Peggy Swider of Paris, TN; one sister Viola Hainley of Florence, AL; one brother in law, Odell Ward of Paris, TN; three grandchildren, Kimberly Fisher of Paris, TN, Michael Fisher of Paris, TN, and John Fisher of Nashville, TN; two great grandchildren, Dustin Fisher of Chattanoogga, TN, and Courtney Fisher of Murfreesboro, TN; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Jane Ward, and Earline Crouch; and one brother, Buddy Vaughn.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Wednesday, October 11, 2017, from 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm. The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at 3:30 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Chad Kennedy officiating.

Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, TN.
