Robert Franklin Starnes

Robert F. “Bob” Starnes age 75 of Paris, TN, died Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.

Bob was a retired maintenance tech from PML. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. 

He was born November 30, 1948, in Arlington, TN, to the late James Starnes, Sr, and the late Frances Thomas Riggs.

He married Shirley Dean Starnes June 28, 1975, who survives of Paris.

Along with his wife, survivors also include his children, Shannon (Paul) Hancock of Puryear, Nicole Starnes of Louisville, KY, Jennifer (Brent) Norsworthy of Puryear, and Derrick (Hope) Starnes of Paris; seven grandchildren, Dillon Starnes, Valarie (Griffin) Butler, Tyler (Christen) Starnes, Ashley Luther, Troy Vance, Jackson Norsworthy, and Natalie Vance; and four great grandchildren, Bryson Butler, Avery Kate Butler, Ella Rose Butler, and Saylor Brooke Butler.

In addition to his parents, Bob was also preceded in death by a son, Robert F. "Bobby" Starnes, Jr.; two sisters, Pat Starnes, and Donna Kay; a brother, James Milton, Jr.; and his stepfather, Edgar Riggs.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St./ P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242 will be handling the arrangements. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 11:00 am at the New Liberty Cemetery with Tre Chapman officiating.

Serving as pallbearers for the service will be Derrick Starnes, Brent Norsworthy, Paul Hancock, Griffin Butler, Norm Hancock, and Kris Sisemore. Bryson Butler will serve as honorary pallbearer.

Burial will follow the graveside service in the New Liberty Cemetery.
