Robbye Williams Lax

Robbye Williams Lax, age 84 of Paris, TN, died Sunday, January 1, 2023.

She formerly owned and operated H.D. Lax Insurance Agency in Paris for many years with her late husband, H.D. and her son, Nicky.  Robbye was Baptist by faith.  She enjoyed sewing clothing for less fortunate children, doing things for others, and she loved her pets.

Robbye was born June 5, 1938, in Springville, TN to the late Ham Patterson Williams and the late Mable Verena Evans Williams.

She was married to H.D. “Dape” Lax on September 16, 1957, and he preceded her in death on January 15, 1989.

Robbye is survived by her son, Nicky Lax of Paris, TN; special cousin, Kim Dyer (Tom) Wilson; special friend, Mark Chandler; beloved brother-in-law, Dub Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her beloved dog of 17 years, Rocky.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/PO Box 788, Paris, TN.  She is to be cremated with a private graveside memorial service to be held at a later date at Buck Williams Cemetery in Springville, TN.
