Robbie French

Robbie Weaks French, age 94 of Paris, TN, died Monday, April 29, 2019, at RoseStone Retirement Community in Paris, TN.

She was a housewife who loved her flowers and being outdoors.  She formerly worked at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, TN, and Henry County Medical Center in Paris.  Robbie was a “doer” who enjoyed canoeing, rafting, and bird watching.  She was a longtime member of Fairview Baptist Church in Paris.

Robbie was born September 22, 1924, in Paris, TN, to the late Hallie Howard Weaks and the late Ona Mae Wilson Weaks.

She was married June 24, 1941, to John Henry “Rock” French, who preceded her in death on September 20, 2015.

She is survived by one daughter, Gail Troxler of Nashville, TN; one son, John Dale (Willene) French of Paris, TN; four grandchildren, John William (Kristin) French of Blaine, WA, Dalana A. (Rob) Hessing of Adamsville, TN, Michael Troxler of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Derek (Miwa) Troxler of Plano, IL; three great grandchildren Sydney Hessing, Claar French, and Yuki Troxler; and caregivers, Charlotte Milam, Gail Singleton, Sarah Boaz, and Mickey Pewitt.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Earlene Chambers and Peggy McDaniel; and one brother, Thomas Weaks.

Arrangements will be handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN, 38242.  Visitation will be Wednesday, May 1, 2019, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Thursday, May 2, 2019, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am.  The funeral service will be Thursday, May 2, 2019, at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Dr. Johnathan Smith and Bud Merwin officiating.

Pallbearers will be John William French, Rob Hessing, Michael Troxler, Derek Troxler, Shane Paschall, and David McDaniel.  Named as honorary pallbearers are Larry Hastings, Bill Dumas, and Dan Paschall.

Entombment will be in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.
