Ricky Evans, age 59, of Henry, Tenn., died Monday, January 11, 2016, at his residence in Henry, Tenn.
He was a 1974 Graduate of Henry County High School where he played baseball, basketball, and was voted "Best All Around." He worked at Servall for 20 plus years as supervisor. Ricky had Coached Little League Baseball, AYSO Soccer, and basketball for several years. He played college baseball at Memphis State as well as Jackson State. He enjoyed watching sports and his favorite Baseball Team was the San Francisco Giants.
Ricky was born January 13, 1956 in Paris, Tennessee to the late Paul Evans and the late Billie Jean Killebrew Evans.
He was married to Sherry Leigh Smith Evans and she preceded in death December 10, 1988. He is survived by his One Son, Ethan Evans of Henry, Tenn; One Sister, Peggy (Tony) Nance of Puryear, Tenn; Two Brothers, Mitchell (Linda) Evans of Cottage Grove, Tenn, Doug (Cathy) Evans of Springville, Tenn; Several Nieces & Nephews; Aunt, Lottie Wilson of Lebanon, TN; and Uncle, Richard (Ann) Killebrew of Humboldt, TN.
Besides his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by Nephews, Jason Evans and Greg Evans.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Wednesday, January 13, 2016 and from 12 – 2 pm Thursday, January 14, 2016. The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 14, 2016.
Randy Stephens will officiate. Pallbearers will be Cody Swor, Evan Warren, Chris Evans, Jordan Stout, Johnny Henderson, Randy Prince and Ronnie King.
Interment will be at Poplar Grove Cemetery in Springville, Tenn.
