Rickey Arlen Carter

Rickey Carter, age 61 of Gulf Shores, AL, formerly of Paris, TN, passed away at his work in Orange Beach, AL, on Thursday, February 28, 2019.

He was a resident of Gulf Shores, AL, for many years.  Rickey loved the beach and all sports, and especially enjoyed watching Tennessee football.  He was Baptist in belief.

Ricky was born July 15, 1957, in Chicago, IL, to the late Henry Arlen Carter and Jane “Betty” Boyd Carter, who survives, of Paris, TN.

Along with his mother, he is also survived by one daughter, Brandy Gail (John David) Olive of Paris, TN; one son, Charlie Carter of Orange Beach, AL; one sister, Kim (Chris) Champion of Paris, TN; and two grandchildren, John Carter Olive and Carly Jo Olive.

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by one son, Scotty Arlen Carter.

Arrangements will be handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN, 38242.  Visitation will be Monday, March 4, 2019, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service to begin at 1:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Jerry Lee officiating.
