Rickey Nanney

William Rickey Nanney, age 70 of Paris, TN died Sunday December 3, 2017  at the Tennova Healthcare-Volunteer Martin in Martin, TN.

Rickey retired from Midland Brake in Paris, TN after 45 years of service.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Paris, TN where he served in the Deaf Ministry for many years.  He was a former Deacon and Song Leader at Springhill Baptist Church.  Rickey was an avid sports fan.  Some of his favorite teams were the St. Louis Cardinals, Tennessee Volunteers, and the Tennessee Titans.  He also enjoyed playing the guitar.

Rickey was born in McKenzie, TN on August 26, 1947 to the late James Daniel Nanney and Lola Mae Throgmorton Nanney of Paris, TN.

He was married June 18, 1972 to Sheryl McFadden Nanney and she survives of Paris, TN.

Along with his wife and mother, Rickey is also survived by two sons, Scott Nanney and Kevin Nanney, both of Paris, TN; one brother, Steve (Teresa) Nanney of Paris, TN; and one sister-in-law, Martha McFadden of Paris, TN.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN where visitation will be Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Trent Bullock and Jerry Lee officiating.

Pallbearers for the service will be Bobby Irby, Johnny Brown, Homer Maddox, Phillip Wells, Bill White and Brad White.  Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Cullen Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.
