Richard Stebbins

Richard D. Stebbins, age 69 of Okeechobee, FL, died Monday, April 30, 2018, in Okeechobee, FL.

He retired as a driver from Greyhound Bus Lines, a job that he truly enjoyed.  He was a U.S. Army veteran and a lover of animals.

Richard was born March 17, 1949, in Bethesda, MD, to the late Wade W. Stebbins and Marjorie Brown Stebbins Jackson, who survives, of Buchanan, TN.

Along with his mother, he is also survived by one daughter, Cindy (Paul) Townsend of Sikeston, MO; one son, Patrick (Kathy) Stebbins of Spotsylvania, VA; four sisters, Linda N. Hentman of Alexandria, VA, Sharon (Danny) Paschall of Brentwood, TN, Karon (Charles) Sampson of Central City, KY, and Patricia (Pete) Reimold of Buchanan, TN; three grandchildren, Cody Stebbins, Brittany Vent, and Allie Townsend; several nieces and nephews; and his significant other, Claudia Gage of Okeechobee, FL.

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Donna Stebbins Yancey and Margaret Stebbins.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 10:00 am at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Buchanan, TN, with Mackie Gallimore officiating.

Burial will follow the graveside memorial service in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
