Raymond Allen Hart

Raymond Allen Hart, age 91 of Paris, TN, died Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Henry County Healthcare Center in Paris, TN.

He retired after working many years as a self-employed painter.  He was a U.S. Army veteran that served during WWII.  He was a member of West Paris Baptist Church.  Raymond loved selling and eating watermelons, cantaloupes, working at the fruit stand, and was an avid rabbit hunter.

Raymond was born July 5, 1927, in Greenfield, TN, to the late Eunice Allen Hart and the late Lula Lee McFarland Hart.

He was married December 13, 1947, to Sue Nell Farris Hart, who preceded him in death on November 5, 2003.

He is survived by one daughter, Brenda (Danny) Robbins of Paris, TN; special friend, Faye Bomar of Paris, TN; one sister, Imogene Wagnon of Paris, TN; two grandchildren, Kim (Larry) Collums of Paris, TN, and Lauren (Michael) Goff of McKenzie, TN; two step grandchildren, Kerri (Tony) Atwill of Paris, TN, and Spencer (Tiffany) Robbins of Paris, TN; three great grandchildren, Sadie Goff, Courtland Collums and Kristofer Collums; seven step great grandchildren, Trae Atwill, Andrew Atwill, Rachael (Evan) Myers, Landon Robbins, Drake Robbins, Jace Robbins, and Jaxon Robbins; and two great-great grandchildren, Pyper Lee and Beau Myers.

Along with his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Wanda Sue Ball; one sister, Mary Goodwin; and five brothers, Robert Hart, Ralph Hart, A.R. “Fuzzy” Hart, James Herbert Hart, and Elmer Watson Hart.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Saturday, July 21, 2018, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and continue Sunday, July 22, 2018, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. The funeral service will be Sunday, July 22, 2018, at 2:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Chad Kennedy officiating.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Hart, Randy Hart, Ted Hart, Frank Valentine, Charlie Dyer, and Mitch Stallcup.

Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Garden in Paris, TN.
