Raye Hays

Raye Oliver Hays, age 93, of Paris, Tenn., died Tuesday, September  2, 2014, at Paris Healthcare & Rehab Center in Paris, Tenn.

She was married November 4, 1939 to James Earl Hays, and  he preceded in death January 29, 2011.

Raye was a member of Cottage Grove Baptist Church and a member of the W.M.U.     She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband for many years.    She was also active in the Cottage Grove Community Club.

She was born February 10, 1921 in Dresden, TN to the late Luther B. Oliver and the late Melissa Isabell Watts Oliver.

She is survived by her  Two Daughters,  Bettie Jo (Mark) Allen of Memphis, Tenn,  Sherry Neal of Ledbetter, Ky;  6 Grandchildren;  9 Great Grandchildren;  3 Great Great-Grandchildren;  and Several Nieces and Nephews.

Besides her Husband and Parents, Raye was also preceded in death by a Daughter, Janice Raye Houston and Brothers, T. J.  Oliver and Jeter Oliver.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Sunday, September  7, 2014.     The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Sunday, September  7, 2014.

Mike Waddey will officiate.   Pallbearers will be Terry Oliver, Johnny Oliver, David Oliver, John Moseley, David Alan Jackson, and Mark Allen.    Honorary Pallbearers will be Glen Oliver, J.W. Akers, and Tommy Hunt.

Interment will be at Walker Cemetery in Paris, Tenn.
