Ray Owen

James Ray Owen, age 47 of Paris, TN, died Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at Henry County Healthcare Center.
Ray was a former journeyman who spent his time working on oil rigs and construction. He was a member of Apostolic Chapel Church in Paris, TN. He was in the Henry County High School Graduating Class of 1989. He loved horses, motorcycles, fast cars, and hunting.
Ray was born January 20, 1970 in Paris, TN, to the late James Junior “Buck” Owen and Vickie Sills Chambers who survives of Springville, TN.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Dezirae Owen of Lebanon, IN; one son, Jeff Owen of Lebanon, IN; three special friends, Sandi York of Paris, TN, Judy Akers of Camden, TN, and Kathleen Milam of Paris, TN; and three grandchildren, Sophia Harshbarger, Shylinn Owen-Worth, and Kingston Marlo.
Along with his father, he is preceded in death by one child, Gavin Riley Owen.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Thursday, November 16, 2017, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and continue on Friday November 17, 2017, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. The funeral service will be Friday, November 17, 2017, at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Dwight Turner officiating.
Pallbearers for the service will be Stacy Steele, Tony Smith, Bobby Singleton, Eddie Owen, Ricky Nance, David Owen, and Demestric Page.
Burial will follow in Community Cemetery in Springville, TN.
