Ray Cate

Ray Cate, age 62 of Paris, TN, died Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris.

He retired after working for several years at Central Electric in Paris.   Ray enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a Christian by faith. 

Ray was born July 30, 1961, in Paris, TN, to the late James Cate and Peggy Sanders Cate, who survives, of Paris, TN.

He was married March 4, 2012, to Cindy Cox Cate, who survives, of Paris, TN.

Along with his wife and mother, he is also survived by four children, Timothy (Trinh Nguyen) Cate of Denver, CO, Daniel Cate of Paris, TN, Courtney (Nick) Butler of Dickson, TN, and Nicole Bray of Paris, TN; one brother, Scottie Cate of New Madrid, MO; seven grandchildren, Jaylee, Tyler, Landon, Ian, Myleigh, Carson, and Jayden; one great grandchild, Gabriel Butler; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends; and two grand puppies, Tarot and Tajah.

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by grandparents, Raymond & Queenie Sanders, and James & Faustine Cate.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  The body is to be cremated with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
