John Ray Brewer, Jr., age 75 of Paris, TN, died Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN.
He retired after many years as a self-employed mechanic and the owner of Brewers Radiator Service in Paris. Ray loved fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Ray was born October 27, 1945, in Paris, to the late John Ray Brewer, Sr., and the late Cordia Thompson Brewer.
He was married August 15, 1968, to Nadine Brewer, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his four daughters, Cherry (Gerald) Boyd of Paris, Lisa (Charlie) Partain of Stantonville, TN, Mary Burns of Paris, and Marilyn Brown of Paris,; two sons, Steve (Julie) Brewer of Paris, and Joe (Christina) Brewer of Paris; one daughter-in-law, Mary Charles Brown of Lawrenceburg, TN; three sisters, Mary Elizabeth Hudson of Paris, Jeanette (Dan) Collins of Paris, and Annette Douglas of Paris; one brother, Bill (Lou) Brewer of Eva, TN; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by one son, David Brown; one sister, Cindy Hodge; and one brother-in-law, Ron Hudson.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. The body is to be cremated with a graveside memorial service to beheld Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 11:00 am at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, with burial of cremains to follow.
Named as honorary pallbearers are James McFarland, Michael Parker, Billie Page, Charlie Partain, Chuck Stevens, Richard Thompson, and Randy Thompson.
