Randy Canady

James Randall “Randy” Canady, age 56 of Paris, TN, died Thursday, December 14, 2017, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN.
He was a member of the Paris-Henry County Rescue Squad for 20 years, where he served as former captain. He also was a 26 year member of the Puryear Volunteer Fire Department & Oakland Volunteer Fire Department, where he served as former chief. He was Church of Christ in belief.
Randy was born June 19, 1961, in Chicago, IL, to the late James Franklin Canady and Jo Ann Crouch Canady Hudgins, who survives, of Paris, TN.
He was married March 16, 2013, to Tammy Medlock Canady, who survives, of Paris, TN.
Along with his wife and mother, he is also survived by one daughter, Amanda (Stephen) Gafford of Paris, TN; one son, Michael (Heather) Canady of Paris, TN; one stepdaughter, Cheyenne Medlock of Memphis, TN; one stepson, Gunner French of Paris, TN; one sister, Pam (Randy) McClain of Paris, TN; one brother, Kevin (Jane) Canady of Paris, TN; seven grandchildren, Levi Rabey, Addison Gafford, Chase Gafford, Hannah Canady, Brady Bratton, Hailey Bratton, and Erin Bratton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by one stepson, Cameron Medlock; and one niece, Charlene Canady.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Tuesday, December 19, 2017, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and continue Wednesday, December 20, 2017, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. The funeral service will be Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Craig Peevyhouse officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Howard Powell, George Haynes, Danny Tucker, Brady Bratton, James Martin, Justin Silvester, Alan Knowles, and Eugene Gafford. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Paris Henry County Rescue Squad, and the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department.
Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Buchanan, TN.
