Ralph Merritt

Ralph Denny Merritt, age 75, of Paris, Tenn., died Friday, March 28, 2014, at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

He was married in 1961 to Sandra "Sandi" Mears Merritt, and she survives.  Denny retired as a carrier lineman for General Telephone. He served in U.S. Marines and was a former member  of the Elks Lodge.

Denny was born November 10, 1938 in Palo Alto, CA to the late Ned Merritt and the late Eula Bickerstaff  Merritt.

He is also survived by his Daughter,  Heather (Jeff) Bradley of Paris, Tenn;  Son,  Jon Christopher Merritt of Paris, Tenn;  Two Brothers,  Lucky (Brenda) Merritt of Bardstown, Ky,  Skeeter Merritt of Bardstown, Ky;  9 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Shannon Lee Robinson.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn.

The body is to be cremated with a Family service to be held at a later date.
